Next meeting we will talk about happiness, about needs, and about values. Simple living encompasses a number of different voluntary practices to simplify one's lifestyle. These may include reducing one's possessions or increasing self-sufficiency, for example. Simple living may be characterized by individuals being satisfied with what they have rather than they want.
We will talk about needs, real needs and irrational needs. Real needs are food and a place where sleep, also maybe clothes and healthcare. But, to be happy, we don't need to have a work, a career, a house in property, a car, electronic devices, a bank account or social prestige, for example. This are irrational beliefs. Not to believe this irrational ideas will allow us to enjoy modern live without become neurotics. And speaking about real needs, we will discuss some different ways to satisfy them.
But, what will happen when we take a distance from material things? Will we rest vacuum? empties? The compensation will come from inside us: the friendship, the love, the creativity, the domain of ourselves, our talents and our time, the culture, the interior enrichment, to share, chose our values, become a freethinker.
Are you agree with all this stuff? the responses next Wednesday.
