Dracula, between myth and reality.

Vlad Tepes 002

All of us know Dracula. When we were kids we used to go to the cinema, in our village, and one of most terrific films that I remember seing was Dracula starred by Christopher Lee (1958). I had nightmares for weeks. Next week we count on the presence of Mihai Octavian Ratoi from Bucharest, Rumania. He’s 31 years old and he’s living here for 6 years now. He has a Civil Engineering Degree and he’s working in an Architecture Office in Lleida and in the Academy Punt d'Estudi as an English teacher.
When I met him we were talking about stereotypes and talking about Rumaia, of course, came up the subject of vampires, Transylvania, Dracula and so on. Then we decided talk about it in our next meeting.
I wait for you next Wednesday at the school library at 21:30h as usual.

Linguistic suggestion

For the next meeting Teresa Coma suggests playing a game to improve vocabulary. I can’t tell you farther because I don’t know the rules. Teresa is going to make the introduction next day and I’m confident it will be a very successful activity. See you on Wednesday, 16th 21:30h at the school library as usual.

gassioTeresa Gassió has been teacher and pedagogy therapist for near thirty years now. She’s, at present, living in Corbins and teaching English at INS La Serra in Mollerussa but she also has been teaching Catalan, Spanish to a number and variety of students since she has had pupils from 6 to 18 years old during her career.

She agreed to come to help us in our conversation activities, on the one hand, talking about her experience teaching in Scotland and, on the other, explaining her trip experience to Tanzania on holidays.

I thing it will a very interesting witness. See you next Wednesday at the school library but a earlier than usual al 21:00h
