Helping people

abelHello friends,  this week we have a special guest Abel Salas, ophthalmologist. He's going to speak about his medical especiality, and about colaboration trips he has done to Ethiopia to operate blind people there. We  think it is quite interesting for people no medical trainned learn from a person like him who help others in far away countries where the lack of resources make people very vulnerable. I think it'll beinteresting to see different ways of helping people and how important are this accions for them and for us.

I wait for you this week on Wednesday the 24th at 21:30h at the school library.

Last week we talked about our responsibility to be sucsesful managing our acts. Today I suggest to discuss about the body language. The body language affects how others see us, but it may also change how we see ourselves. How standing in a particular posture can affect the impression that others have from us and how it's explained scientifically. Have a look at this TED Talk before coming to the next meeting. And remember: from now on we  meet on Thursday instead Wednesday. So, I wait for you next Thursday 18th at 21:30 at the school library.

It will be a thought-provoking talk in which he will challenge people to stop blaming and complaining and realise we are the result of what we have thought - and so if we want a different result we (and only we) have the power to change and achieve what we want. What do you think? it is interesting, isn't it? I wait for you next Wednesday at the school library at 21:30. See you.

How do you plan a trip?

imagesPlanning a  trip can be a daunting task. Where do you begin? What’s step one?  It’s easy to get overwhelmed in the beginning, especially when you haven’t done something like this before. We are very interested in how you  plan a trip, how you chose a destination, is the money important?, are you afraid of flying, do you get an insurance? what type of accommodation do you usually book?, do you plan the activities in advance etc, etc.  See you on Wednesday 03 February at the school library.
