carlaCasalsRosellIt will be a pleasure  having Carla Casals as a guest in our next meeting. Carla is going to talk about Monilinia spp, a pathogen that infects fruit, especially stone fruits. When de climatic conditions are advantageous for its development, it produces brown rots, causing dramatic losses for fruit production. Nowadays, the main way to control this disease is using chemical products, fungicides. But, are there alternative strategies to chemicals? Is there a more sustainable and environment friendly way to control this affliction?

I wait for you next Thursday the 17th at 21:30h at the school library.
